Where can you actually buy Chrome OS devices?

Introduction

I am asked again and again where you can actually buy Chrome OS devices in Germany. The rumor that almost only devices from the US are available is very persistent. Maybe in your home country, it’s pretty similar.

Therefore, I want to list a few options for you, how you can order and buy devices in Germany, Europe, or even worldwide.

All this is not as difficult as it sounds! I have already successfully ordered two devices from the USA! And this in different ways.

There are devices like Chromebooks, Chromebook Tablets, Chromeboxes, and Chromebases.

In your home country

That can be for sure any country in the world.

I think a good start is to search for local computer stores nearby. If Amazon provides deliveries in your country, that might also be an obvious option nowadays, and maybe some competitors are also available.

As I’m currently on a world trip as a digital nomad, I know that’s not the case in every country. But in my home country Germany, I was surprised that you suddenly could purchase Chromebooks at some stores. There are also discount promotions, demo unit sales, and B-goods sales every now and then. Perhaps you have the same situation.

The last option is to import devices, which may be more expensive and time-consuming.

In Europe

That’s a variant where I can share some experiences, since I ordered two Chrome OS devices European-wide successfully.

You can purchase devices not directly available in your home country in neighboring countries within Europe.

Worldwide

If you are looking for a device that you like very much but is not available in your home country and geographic region, you might be able to order it worldwide.
